| Bio: | Short, symmetrical, hair on top. Irish-descended bookgeek with a tendency to pontificate. I read some of The Original Slash 'Ship, Kirk/Spock, in fanzine form back in the 80s, but it wasn't until 2001 when I fell into Elijah Wood's eyes and never came out, that I became a real slash fan with Frodo/Sam (theirloveissocanon). Tolkien is my oldest and greatest love; I've read LotR more than 100 times. (Yep, that's one hundred.) Since XMAS 2007, Torchwood and Doctor Who have eaten my brain. Nine is My Doctor, but I love Ten as well. Jack Harkness is Sex on a Stick with Enormous Immortal ManPain. Ianto tasers people in the face and sexxes Captain Hotness, and I'm not even gonna get into the pretty. I'm a Janto fangirl, but none of that curtain!fic, give me hardcore porny, please. Donna Noble Rules the World--the Series 4 Who finale was a fangirl's wet dream. Thanks, Uncle Rusty. Dr. Horrible! Joss Whedon, oh how I adore you. You are the coolest human being ever. Looking forward to Dollhouse, too. It looks very, very creepy. Used to love me some good snarky, IC Snarry, but Book 7 killed any lingering respect I might have had for JKR, and I'm not in that fandom much anymore. Another OTP was snarky, fight'n'fuck Spuffy where Spike was really Spike, not that neutered thing Joss&Noxon made him into in Seasons 6 and 7. Curse you, Marti Noxon, and your Baseball Bat of Anti-Metaphor. I also adore raucous Irish folk-punk music, Terry Pratchett's Discworld, Good Omens, Mystery Science Theater 3000, really gory Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino movies, and truly witty sarcasm, which I can rarely actually come up with myself. | |||||||||
