This episode was perfect. There was just so much goodness here, from the Racist Truck (bwa ha ha) to the 'Dean girls' and 'Sam girls'.
"What is a slash fan?"
"Slash...As in Sam 'slash' Dean. Together."

"Yeah."
"They do know we're brothers, right?"
"Yeah...that doesn't...seem to matter."
"Oh come on now! That's just...that's just sick!"

Sam's discussion with Chuck about Lilith and everything? Heartbreaking. Dean praying? Heartbreaking. “I’ve never asked for anything. Not a damned thing. But now I’m asking.” (guys, it was LAST week you were riffing off 'It's a Wonderful Life')

CHUCK. What a great character. He planted himself pretty firmly into the mytharc, didn't he? I loved that he was just a regular guy that just happened to start seeing visions. I loved the little hints that he was a prophet--his stripey robes (ala Moses), his beard, his disbelief that his visions were real...AWESOME job with all of that.

Plus he's a likeable character! I really felt his despair and frustration at the end, when he wanted to warn Sam and Dean, but couldn't (thanks a lot Zechariah...) But I think I love him best for saying to Sam what I only wish I could: that the demon blood is not a good thing, that it makes Sam feel good--and Sam knows it, even if he won't admit it--and that he's truly sorry that Sam has to carry this burden. I think I want to have sex behind the junior high with that moment, because it was SO WELCOME and WONDERFUL to have. Chuck, I'll read your prophecies any day. Just...maybe see about getting a more realistic pic of the boys on the cover, mmkay?

BOYZ!! I fear how much worse it's going to get between you two before it gets better. Dean came *THIS close* to walking out on you this time, Sam, only to stop and PRAY for help instead. Why do I fear that next time, even a prayer for help won't keep Dean around? I was totally clutching my hair in my hands when Dean started to walk out the door...god, when he put his duffel down on the chair, I think I screamed out of sheer relief.

The fact that The Prophet Chuck (btw, Show? You're using both 'gospel' and 'prophet' wrong. I'm just sayin'. Use a dictionary) didn't write down about Sammy's little blood-drinking habit? Is why the angels don't know about it, or about exactly what is going on: they've only read the gospel, that's the extent of their knowledge of the whole sitch!! God isn't telling them anything.

Sam keeps getting scarier, even as he's getting more and more sympathetic. That gigantic polack is kicking it out of the freaking PARK with the acting, man.

And Dean just keeps getting hotter. It shouldn't be possible, and yet every week, it happens. Oh and 'Cas' is noticing it, too! The Littlest Angel is freaking head-over-heels in love with Dean. SO in love. Who can blame him?

I wonder...I just wonder...is this supposed to be a double fakeout, in conjunction with last week's episode? Orchestrated by Zechariah? Last week's ep a mindgame to set Dean straight, and this week's to set Sam straight? I don't think so. But it's an interesting thought. What I do know for certain, is that I do not trust Zechariah. Not as far as I could throw the Ginormotron. Nuh-uh. No way.

THREE WEEKS UNTIL MORE SHOW!! Meeep. Oh, and don't worry about the next new episode and the third Winchester brother...the ep's titled 'Jump the Shark', so I don't think we need to fear a Dawn scenario. My prediction is that the third bro is going to die at the end of the episode: he's the 'someone close to the boys' who's going to die.
