Supernatural Episode 4.17
Reaction post.

Oh, sure, NOW they have the budget to buy a goddamn song. No fucking cock rock all fucking season, but for a fucking COMEDY episode, they can afford a song. A NOT COCK ROCK song. A Kinks song, which I can't imagine was cheap.

I hate you sometimes, Show.

Wow, the dialogue is seriously bad between Sam and the other geek. I don't think the writers actually know any real geeks. Because real geeks are funnier than this. Smarter than Ghost Facers, too. Sorry, just painfully bad writing. Comedy FAIL. They always, always write the comedy too broadly. Tell me this is going to be the last comedic episode of the season, pleeeease.

Smith and Wesson. Ha! Funny, Show. ;)

OMFG, the head in the microwave. EEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! I love you sometimes, Show!

Awww, Dean looks so young and cuute! However, polo shirts do not so much flatter Sammy.

"I don't believe in destiny." Oh, Dean. Oh, Dean.

I hate and despise the Ghost Facers and everything about their lame comedy thang with the burning, white hot heat of ten thousand suns. Go. Away. Forever. You are the bastard offspring of The Evil Trio and the genius that was Ghostbusters, and your dialogue is a pisspoor imitation of Joss Whedon's writing style. Die.

Awww, Sammy's bitchface, how I have missed thee!! <3's

OMFG, the guy in the elevator!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

I think they both had orgasms when they killed the ghost. Ha. Boys, you love it and you know it!

"This isn't you. I know you!" Oh, Sammy!! Oh, boys!!

GO SAMMY!! Smash that help desk to little bits and piss on it!! Yay for Sam. Dean? Dean?

YAYE DEAN!! No corporate douchebag, you. It's not who you're supposed to be. Welcome fucking back, indeed.

Nice plot twist. Fab: the new angel is a Corporate Motivator Dick with Wings.

"You should see my decoupage."
"Gross. I think."
HAHAHAHA!!

Don't fall for his bullshit spiel, Dean. Don't fall for it!!!!

KRIPKE I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: Some of my theory about this ep:

So I was on the TWoP forums and I said this:
'Normal Again', except we don't get the resolution. DAMMIT, Kripke!!

And somebody else responded:
Resolution? How so? Do you not remember the mind-fuck that was "Normal Again"? Buffy rocking in the corner, waiting for another tranq?

And here's my theory:
The resolution I meant was the resolution of the character's inner struggle. Buffy resolved her struggle, in both worlds: she took Joyce's advice and believed in her 'madness'. We didn't see Dean make a decision; the last words spoken were part of Zach's spiel, and Dean's face was irresolute as it cut to the end credits.

I don't think Zach is the hard-ass-but-a-good-general guy he seems. There are a couple of clues to this: one is the fact that he maintains his Corporate Doublespeak right up to the end. Does anyone really think that Truth with a capital T is going to be phrased that way, in Kripke's world? Nuhuh. Also, listen to the music running under the final couple of minutes: it's very uneasy music.

I seem to be the only one who thinks this, but I think Dean is not supposed to buy into Zach's version of reality. I don't think Dean is going to 'win' by toeing the angelic party line and being the Righteous Man. He's going to try it for a while, but it won't work. Nor is Sam supposed to toe the demonic party line. They're going to have to create a third way to fight, a Winchester way, and that's what's going to win the final battle. Probably in S5, not S4. That's the way I read things.

(Also, how frakkin' adorable was it that Sam the Ginormotron didn't even fit into that cubicle? His shoulders stuck out, his head stuck out, he couldn't fit his legs under the desk...HEEE!!)

I love this show. That is all.

::covers eyes::

Only about 50 minutes until it starts over here. Damn time zones.

It's a cute ep. Also, I have a Theory of Great Import. which we can discuss later...

God, I hope that it's one giant mind-fuck. That would really make up for some things. You know what would be kind of awesome? What if Dean never really escaped the Djinn? It gave him what he wanted, and at the end, that was to escape, sooooo ...

I know, cool theory, right?? I actually don't think that. I don't think the writers are that smart...but I really, really hope that there's more to Angel Zach Upper Management Douchebag and his big moral lesson.

'Cause it's just so much bullshit.

Wait, so the Djinn might have done what? I'm confused. Eee! Too many theories!

Ok, remember the eppy where Dean got caught by the Djinn, and it showed him exactly what he wanted to see (ie, Momma, a "normal life," etc)? And there were rainbows everywhere, and NPH rode around on a unicorn, and Dean wasn't exactly happy, but he had Momma there, and Sammy was happy. But then, he realized that he was with the Djinn, and he wanted to leave? And the Djinn just shows you exactly what you want to see, and at that point, exactly what Dean wanted to see was Sammy saving him, and life going back to the hunt. So ... what if the Djinn just let him think that Sammy was saving him, and that he had escaped (cuz that's what he wanted)? What if he's still with the Djinn, dying slowly, thinking that he's out hunting?

Hmmmm. I think THAT big a mindscrew would make me mad. Like the JR Ewing thing. It's a nifty idea, though.

It's great as an idea, but it would be with the crazy making. Can you just imagine how many fangirls would shit their pants ... and how much Kripke would love it, cuz he's a complete bast?

He's eeeeevil, that man! I swear, I don't know how I'm going to survive the last five episodes without having a heart attack.

FIX THE BOYS, KRIPKE!!!!!!!!!!!! FIIIIIXX THEM!!!!!

I still smell a rat with that Zachariah and his pep talk. Something's rotten in Denmark, bb.

Something is very rotten, and I don't think that we're the only ones who feel that way.

LOL When Something-iel gave Dean the trigger speech and tried to bribe him with cash I knew he was an Angel. They're the only ones who just CAN'T ACT. (No the actors - the Angels. There are a lot of actors in the show that can't act.)

I think Dean was supposed to snap out of it. Can'tRememberHisName-iel wasn't exactly subtle about wanting Dean back on the path. Heheh. Do you think they gave Sammy his memories back, too? Would laugh my ass off if Sam Wesson was still running through the city being all yellow-shirted and confused. (Yellow? NOT Sam's color!) Btw - Smith&Wesson? *facepalm*

I think you're right. They need to find a different way to resolve the whole mess.

And please, please no more comedy eps this season!
