SPN Episode 4.13


Wow. Sam&Dean's lives SUCK in a truly epic manner.

And I don't know if it's the writing or the acting, but I keep having to remind myself that Dean is NOT, in actuality, a dick--because he sure does act like one a lot. (I don't think that's a very good thing. Kripke? Are you listening? Nah, probably not. You see, in an ideal world, there are writers who can write dialogue, and actors who can act out emotions, that would indicate subtly to we the audience that Dean's assholeishness is, you know, a fake? His armor against the normal world?
*crickets*
These are the same guys, Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin, who wrote "Yellow Fever". They seem to enjoy making Dean a one-dimensional character. I hope they up their game pretty soon. Are they scheduled to write any more eps this season?)

wee!Sam is fantastic. he's got the bitchface down pat. I love the idea that Sammy was short and then had a sudden growth spurt into Gigantor. Heehee!! I think teen!Dean was cast too old, but the actor did a nice job mimicking Ackles' body language and voice patterns.
