SPN Episode 4.13

Wow. Sam&Dean's lives SUCK in a truly epic manner.

And I don't know if it's the writing or the acting, but I keep having to remind myself that Dean is NOT, in actuality, a dick--because he sure does act like one a lot. (I don't think that's a very good thing. Kripke? Are you listening? Nah, probably not. You see, in an ideal world, there are writers who can write dialogue, and actors who can act out emotions, that would indicate subtly to we the audience that Dean's assholeishness is, you know, a fake? His armor against the normal world?
*crickets*
These are the same guys, Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin, who wrote "Yellow Fever". They seem to enjoy making Dean a one-dimensional character. I hope they up their game pretty soon. Are they scheduled to write any more eps this season?)

wee!Sam is fantastic. he's got the bitchface down pat. I love the idea that Sammy was short and then had a sudden growth spurt into Gigantor. Heehee!! I think teen!Dean was cast too old, but the actor did a nice job mimicking Ackles' body language and voice patterns.

	Yeah, not so fond of 1-D Dean, but all in all, I dug the episode. Especially the return of wee!Sammy ;) Colin Ford is one hell of a little actor, I just watched him last week in Lake City. He worked alongside Sissy Spacek and Troy Garity (Jane Fonda's son), and by god, he really held his own. (Reply to this) (Thread)

That kid is fantastic. I am amazed at how well he's got Padalecki's Sam expressions down...right down to the nostril flaring!! *g* But not only that, he really is a talented actor.

Ah, dodgeball! The only gym classes I ever liked were the dodgeball ones!

I covered my eyes, too. I also covered my eyes during that scene when they returned to their old house and the plumber was working on the garbage disposal. Ewwww.

I was very impressed with the acting from teenager Dean, but I agreed, the age disparity between the two boys was too great.

I am also glad I wasn't the only one who drooled over the Metallicar in this episode. (Now if only it had been JDM actually driving it. *sigh*)

I read the spoilers for Episode 18. Is there any chance you will play the character named Sera? — ckll
Gamble: Nope. There is a character named Sera Siege though. There are characters named after everyone on the staff. The episode starts out dizzyingly meta: Sam and Dean discover a book series called Supernatural, about the adventures of two demon-hunting brothers named Sam and Dean. Every detail is spot-on. Obviously, this is deeply alarming to them. Julie Siege wrote the episode, and she was very even-handed, in that she managed to take hilarious jabs at the writers, the fans and the boys. The story eventually twists in an unexpected direction that's more grounded and substantial — it's not just an amusing exercise. But if there was any doubt that we have a sense of humor about ourselves, this ought to clear it up.

.................Okay,wow. That just inspired me to do an SPN version of my HP rpg-turned weird fanfiction but not fanfiction thingie.

	Thankies,dear-I know what to watch and not watch,as well as what direction to go,even if the story's taken on a life of its own at this point. Kris was right about me not including angels,Lilith or Ruby. It so complicated things by including them, even if it also made things slightly more interesting. (Reply to this)

God, I would so love your feedback on Dean in my story. Everyone I asked about him before I started writing him told me different things and since one is him in Theatrical Muse over on LJ and my ex is a die hard SPN person, I took their words on stuff. I'm doing my best to keep things as 3-d as possible,but I'm not sure whether I'm doing "Dean is a dick and treats this whole situation and the people involved as jobs,sources and what have you" or "Dean is a dick,but he's just cynical,using it a armor,etc..."

I think it came across better in his version,but again...I have no idea.

If you see anything off about Sam or Ruby and have cc for me,by all means, comment and say so. I've pretty much written both versions based on whatever episodes I've seen and what advice I've been given about Dean and Sam. No one gave me advice about Ruby, but meh...I may only finish Sam's version because my ex loves him some Sam/Ruby and his version has him slowly heading towards not being "flabby". If my ex flat out tells me he won't read it, I may not continue and will just start over and make it a MotW story. After I do the shit for the round robin first, of course.

Basically-I've never been hardcore the way you,Kris and the rest of my friends have and I stopped writing fanfiction eons ago-I was always more of an rp'r. Just remember when you're doing cc that this isn't fanfiction and the boys are just guest hosts on SNL. I know I keep saying that, but my ex keeps behaving like I'm writing fanfiction when he reads it and it's getting annoying. Kris's name keeps popping up because she IS a character in Sam's version.
