Rolling About Laughing
So there's this person over on LJ who is writing an 'Ask Captain Jack' advice column / sex blog, in which he Shoots Our 21st-Century Problems in the Face! and it's absolutely hilarious. Yesterday's entry is Captain Jack's bitchin' fan fiction, The Adventure of the Three Gay Unicorns by Captain Jack Harkness, RAF.

Go. Read. Laugh. Friend.

Here's an excerpt to whet your appetites:

Ianto was weeping!

“I don’t think these are friendly unicorns,” he sobbed, wringing his soft pale hands.

Against convention, his Welsh accent somehow made him sound sophisticated, sexy and intelligent. Not like he was just scraped off the farm at all.

I turned my pretty face in his direction, waiting while he adjusted to the sight of my good-looks. It’s always startling to be reminded of how handsome I am.

Isn't it great? I think my fave thing is the way s/he stays in character right down through the comments, that just sells it so well. Glad you liked it!

OT: Do you like Tim Roth? For some reason, he strikes me as someone you'd be a fan of...anyway, he's in a new tv show, Lie To Me. The show looks fairly meh, but he should be good to watch.

And Dollhouse Feb.13th!

Yeeeeeeees, LOVE Tim Roth, he's one of my faves. I'm ... a bit skeptical about the show, to be honest (I actually watched a trailer yesterday while hunting up info for [info]dollhouse), but I'll watch an episode probably. I'm just not at all interested in the whole crimesolving genre. Boring!

*nods* Right there with ya, I tend to stick to my F&SF genres.

R&G Are Dead has to be one of my favorite movies EVAR. The "Do you ever think of yourself as actually dead, lying in a box" monologue, oh god.
And:
"To sum up: your father, whom you love, dies. You are his heir. You come back to find that hardly was the corpse cold before his young brother pops onto his throne and into his sheets, thereby offending both legal and natural practice. Now... why exactly are you behaving in this extraordinary manner?"

Everything. All of it. SQUEEE!!
